Lose Weight by Executing a Plan?
People have many reasons for wanting to lose weight to achieve their Perfect Weight. What’s your reason? Reducing your weight can help you feel better which in turn helps look better as well. For some, losing weight has the added benefit of helping them gain more self confidence. So it’s not surprising that many people believe that one of the best ways to start their weight reduction program is to set a goal to lose an initial 10 pounds, which seems realistic. The success in achieving the goal ultimately depends on the effectiveness in the execution of the chosen plan.
Everyone is very different in their lifestyle choices, work, behaviour, and attitudes. These factors should be taken into account when developing a plan to lose that initial 10 pounds. But also keep in mind that the success of the plan is also related to how realistic the plan is for them to achieve. They need to take into account their daily routine, their lifestyle, and what they are willing to give to accomplish that goal.
We have been conditioned to believe that any weight loss plan should include both diet and exercise changes to increase the chances of success. So we develop both a daily meal plan and exercise plan because, according to some experts, it has been proven that when you plan you are more likely to succeed!
Now we all know that maintaining a proper diet during a weight loss plan requires some self discipline, which not all of us have, even to achieve an initial weight reduction of 10 pounds. The first thing is to prepare the meal plan. Then it’s time to go to the supermarket and buy everything needed to prepare the meals.
We are told that it’s a good idea to prepare as many quick snacks as possible so that they will be on hand when you need a quick bite to eat. Preparing healthy snacks in advance reduces the temptation to eat junk food or high calorie snacks. It can also make sense to prepare as many main meals in advance and refrigerate or freeze these where appropriate. By spacing your meals to between 3 and 4 hours apart also reduces the need to snack between meals.
The key to success of this approach to losing an initial 10 pounds is in designing an exercise plan that is suited to your particular personality and lifestyle. Some people have very little time throughout the day to workout because of a busy work schedule. So for those people a 10-15 minute workout twice a day may be exactly what they need and can fit in. Now there are 10-15 minute workouts that can give great benefit if done correctly.
But for others with a little more time may want to workout for 30 – 60 minutes per day. This can be accomplished by working out early in the morning, on during lunch break, or even right after work. For the plan exercise plan to be effective it just has to be consistent. Again, many experts will tell you that daily physical exertion is a must if you are planning to lose weight and keep it off.
So will this approach work for you? Is 10 pounds all you need to achieve your Perfect Weight? Is this really a quick and easy way to lose weight and then maintain the loss? Well maybe, but it’s much more likely that this is just another short term “fix” and sooner or later you will be looking for the next fad diet. Planning and then executing the plan takes willpower so this is not necessarily an easy way to achieve Your Perfect Weight.
But it does not have to be that way. When you understand the Secrets to Your Perfect Weight, you will never need to creating an executing a plan.
